It's our first CR meme. Apps aren't yet open, so this is mostly a place to jam for anybody! If you comment to this meme, you have an invitation. Please use this space to talk about characters you're interested in apping, while I use this space to figure out how big the first round might be.

Please note that you do not have to app whatever characters you mention here, and you are not inextricably tied to whatever vampire abilities you discuss here. You're free to change your mind between here and apping.

The tentative open date is OCT 10, with apps opening OCT 05, so I figure we've all got plenty of time to get our ideas in order before then.

Some spoilers so you have things to plan around:

1. An ancient god has contacted you with terrible purpose.
2. Two pious clerics will aid you with their lives, if necessary. Will you make it necessary? Get to know them in the free demo below.
3. A maze, deep underground. The sun hides from you.
4. Hunger churns. Will you be able to keep your wits about you when prey is finally in view?

WHO: Era

CHARACTER / FANDOM: Loki / That Disney+ TV show that happened in July (canon point: end of season 1)

VAMP ABILITIES: DAYWALKER | LONG FANGS | BLOOD MEMORIES

CHARACTER DIRECTION: Loki is always down to clown fuck some shit up as seen here & here.

That said, he's coming right off a bout of being not exactly the villain and kinda-sorta being one of the good guys for a series of moments; unfortunately, it didn't exactly gain him much and he lost access to things (several people he cares about, actually) in the exchange, which poses a problem for him and his need to be the center of attention at all times and also loved by others.

WANTED CR: ALL OF IT. Loki will be heavily leaning on his interpersonal and charismatic skillz as a (former) prince; he's also quite the combatant and will have no qualms about being violent and will be good at teaching/encouraging others to do the same. Obviously, this isn't gonna rock well with folks who are going a strictly diplomatic route and/or are less chaotic than he is. So, positive & negative CR is looked for and appreciated!

Anyway consider me jazzed for probably the weirdest, muddiest cr imaginable as local (former) god of lies meets feral vampire that has 0 understanding of the concept of deceit. It'll be great. Someone might die.

Can't wait for him to push every button in the "reminding her of her estranged brother" elevator, if that is something that interests you. Especially because it would prime her both to be receptive to her charisma and to (at least initially) knee-jerk deeply distrust that instinct.

Stella is a twin, though she's not going to be chatting about that much unless plot forces her to. The thumbnail sketch is that their father was highly placed within the paramilitary organization that took over after a major war and is just generally A Big Deal. Her brother is the charismatic, charming type being groomed for power, but he's also more complicated than he chooses to look. (And, not for nothing, is low-key obsessed with securing respect rather than just fear due to his family connections.) Meanwhile Stella got recruited by the resistance and faked her own death. Her feelings about her father are pretty straightforwardly "He's a bad man who needs to go down," but her feelings about her twin are way more complicated and hahaha good thing she's dead now and never has to see him again, it's fine, this is all fine.
